In the temple architecture of India, the Khajuraho complex remains unique. A millennium ago, under the generous and artistic patronage of the Chandela Rajput kings of Central India, 85 temples, were built near the town of Khajuraho. Today, of the original 85, only 22 have survived.
The unique feature of these temples is the extremely erotic sculptures on some of them. These men and women in different poses, as described by the Kama Sutra.
