Kathmandu, Chitwan National Park and Koshi Tappu

Day 01: Kathmandu
Meals:on own 
Upon arrival you will be met and transfer red to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel Malla or similar.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Drive to Chitwan in the morning (6 hr.). You will be welco med by the naturalist upon arrival at the lodge. Chitwan National Park is the one of most bio-diverse parks in Nepal, which offers 450 species of birds as well as four species of Deer, Leopard, Sloth bear and of course the One horned Rhinoceros and Bengal Tigers.Overnight at Chitwan Jungle Lodgeor similar .

Day 03: Chitwan National Park
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Spend the days birding in the jungle and the grassland. You will also take an elephant ride, a canoe ride to see the avifauna of the park.Overnight at Chitwan Jungle Lodge or similar.

04: Chitwan National Park to Koshi Tappu
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
About 6 hours drive from Chitwan, you will enter the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve which lies on the flood plains of the Sapta Koshi in Saptari and Sunsari districts of Eastern Nepal. The Reserve offers important habitat for a variety of wildlife. The last surviving population of Wild Buffalo in Nepal (about 100 individuals) are here. Other mammals include Hog Deer, Wild Boar, Spotted Deer and Blue Bull. However, the reserve is better known as a haven for birds. A total of 423 species of birds are recorded here, including 20 species of Ducks, Ibises, many Storks, Egrets, Herons and rare species including Bengal Florican, Greater Adjutant, Lesser Florican, Spot-billed Pelican, Pied Harrier, Hodgson's Bushchat, Bristled Grassbird and Swamp Francolin. An amazing 183 species of different birds have been recorded here in a single day and visitors should see a minimum 100 species in a day without trying too hard. Overnight at Camp in Koshi Tappu.

Day 05 and 06: Koshi Tappu
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Spend the full day bird watching on foot and in boats. Koshi Tappu is one of the finest wetlands in Asia. You'll knotch up a fine list with excellent views of Waders, Terns and Gulls. You might see Indian Skimmer and other species include Red-necked Falcon and Striated Prinia. Overnight at Camp in Koshi Tappu.

Day 07: Koshi Tappu to Kathmandu
Meals: Breakfast
Transfer to Biratnagar a irport (2 hr.) to connect flight to Kathmandu. You will be met and transferred to the airport for onward journey.

Note: You may extend the tour by 2-3 days for additional birding in Phulchowki and Shivapuri.
